Abstract: Façade of a burned out house at Kilmichael, county Cork. The interior has been gutted and the roof has collapsed. A hen is standing outside the house. Sheets of corrugated iron lie around the ground from what was originally the porch. The caption reads ‘House smashed by Aux[illiaries] after Kilmichael ambush (right on spot of ambush)'.
