Abstract: Typescript letter from Shaw, GHQ, Home Forces, Horse Guards, London to Maxwell enclosing 'amended proof of the Irish Despatches' at Lord French's request. French regrets 'that it should have been thought necessary to omit all reference to the services of yourself and General Friend and the officers and men serving under you'.
