The case B.A.C. v. Greece, recently decided in a remarkable judgment rendered by the European Court of Human Rights, concerns an application for asylum submitted by a Turkish citizen in Greece. The Court concluded, inter alia, for a violation of the positive obligation under Article 8 ECHR to provide an effective and accessible means of protecting the right to private life. This ruling provides indeed some interesting insights on the positive obligations on States concerning the treatment of applications for international protection.
