A field trial was contacted in Larissa (central Greece) in 2008, to evaluate the effect of L.Culinaries green manure and rotation and Nfertilization on maize and kenaf productivity. The experiment was carried out on clay soil classified as Vertisol. The nitrogen use efficiency for maize and kenaf was also studied and estimated 1 1 approximately 50KgKgfor maize and 63%KgKgfor kenaf. Maize seed yield showed a positive response in incorporation treatments and fluctuated between 9.8 t/ha and 12.4 t/ha contrary to control treatments (relied only on applications of Nfertilization) that ranged between 8.5 t/ha and 10.7 t/ha. The results for total dry kenaf biomass also showed a significant effect of incorporation treatment that ranged between 15 t/ha and 19.3 t/ha in regard of control treatment that fluctuated between 12.3t/ha and 16.7 t/ha. The recovery fraction for kenaf was 56% indicated a prominent effect of L.Culinaries harvested treatment contrary to the low recovery fraction of maize (23%).
