A selection from a 57 page bound book with watercolor drawings, pasted clippings, and autographs. Early 18th century blue morocco binding with gilt paneled sides. Pasted on flyleaf: cartoon, "A collection of poets outside the Golden Cross." (Gabriel Atkin). Dedication: "This book belongs to Roderick Meiklejohn." Contents include "28 Country Poems" by Sassoon and "Fourteen New Rhymes for Children" by Robert Graves with frontispiece and decorations drawn by Nancy Nicholson. Also contains autographs and signed manuscript poems by: Arnold Bennett, H.G. Wells, W. Somerset Maugham, W.H. Davies, W.S. Turner, Osbert Sitwell, Edith Sitwell, Lytton Strachey, Henry Festing Jones, C.J. Holmes, Desmond MacCarthy, E.M. Forster, Margaret Kennedy, Robert Nichols, Ralph Hodgson, Edmund Blunden, Frank Prewett. Contains the poem "Quiet Evening," written and signed by Blunden.
